SMC gives out P1-B funding for Biyaya ng Pagbabago

San Miguel Foundation, Inc., San Miguel Corporation’s (SMC) social development arm, has given out P1 billion for construction of housing project in Davao City.

Among other contributors in the said project, the National Housing Authority (NHA) also provided P24 million to fund its construction.

The housing project, consisting of 840 units located in Los Amigos village, will benefit former members of rebel groups, fire victims, and those living in highly dangerous areas.

This, according to President Rodrigo Duterte, is a step towards Davao’s goal of equipping the Dabawenyos with “gainful employment, decent housing, educational opportunities, and healthy living”.
