Ivan Padilla, not the bad boy of seven years ago, is a Filipino American Hollywood actor, who returned to his father’s homeland to give Philippine films a try.

He successfully auditioned with Alessandra de Rossi for Viva Films’ “12” a foray into millennials’ often volatile relationships.

Is he the same Ivan Padilla, a member and a name of a notorious Ivan Padilla gang that was a subject of criminal dragnet some seven years ago?

Maria Isabel Lopez ready to be jailed

1982 Binibining Pilipinas-Universe and actress Maria Isabel Lopez is ready to face the consequences of her removing the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) divider cones just to get to the ASEAN lane on Saturday gridlock.

DOE,’protektor’ ng giant oil companies– Zarate

GUSTO ni Bayan Muna partylist Rep. Carlos Zarate na imbestigahan ng Department of Energy (DOE) ang mga malalaking kumpanya ng langis dahil sa sunod-sunod na pagtaas ng presyo  nang oil products nitong nakaraang mga linggo.

Hindi rin niya kinakagat ang madalas na katuwiran ng mga opisyal ng DOE na wala silang kakayahang imbestigahan ang paggalaw ng presyo ng langis.

Sinabi ni Zarate na sadyang ayaw lang kumilos ng mga taga DOE sapagkat sa totoo lang ay protektado ng ilan sa kanila ang mga giant oil firms.

Daily travel allowance ng gov’t employees, itataas

GOOD news para sa mga kawani ng pamahalaan!

Isang resolusyon ang inaprubahan kamakailan sa Kongreso na naglalayong taasan ang daily allowance ng mga state employee.

Inilabas ng House Committee on Appropriations na pinamumunuan ni Rep. Karlo Alexei Nograles ang Resolution No. 243 na humihiling kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na magpalabas na ng executive order upang taasan ang daily travel allowance ng mga government employees mula sa kasalukuyang P800 hanggang P2,000.

Noong 2004 pa huling nagpatupad ng adjustment sa daily allowance ng mga kawani ng pamahalaan, ayon kay partylist representative Eugene Michael de Vera.
