DUTERTE CAUTIONED ON REVIVING BNPP

AFTER initially flip-flopping on his stand on what to do about the mothballed Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP), President Duterte has announced that he might agree to revive the power plant if only to address the problems of dwindling power supply and high electricity rates in the country.

But some experts are cautioning him to think a thousand times over before proceeding with the plan citing various reasons among them safety and practicality.

For one, those that have trained so hard to run it (engineers and technical people) have left and are now occupying lucrative positions elsewhere in the globe…

LUCKY GLOBE TROTTERS USE TAXPAYERS’ MONEY!

THERE is no question about President Duterte travelling around the globe to promote the Philippines to investors and tourists and to make the world know the country’s aspiration to reach out and partner with as many global leaders as possible.

ROOK SACRIFICE

SOME guys are luckier than others.

These lucky guys have people who would follow their orders and are willing to make sacrifices just to save them when push comes to shove.

Just like in a game of Chess, all other pieces are dispensable and can be given away if there is a need to protect and save the King.

Taking the Heat

No official reasons were provided on why…

SPLURGE FOR A CAUSE

SPLURGING on items that are not that basic to one’s personal or household needs usually brings a feeling of guilt on buyers. But not when you splurge on an annual event like the International Bazaar (IB) where you know that the proceeds would benefit the needy and marginalized.

In its 50th anniversary, IB is even more resolved to reach out to the marginalized and the uncared for members of our society by embarking on projects that would directly help them and less on funding other organizations and foundations that cater to their sectors.

For the first time, the international bazaar…

IT’S COMMON SENSE, STUPID!

EXERCISE in common sense will help solve traffic nightmare in Metro Manila streets even as the Department of Transportation (DOTr) is pushing Congress to grant the President super powers that experts say already exist in the official mandate of the agency, except on the process of procurement.

Four months after Pres. Rody Duterte assumed office, traffic nightmare in Metro Manila has gone from worse to worst even after Transportation Sec. Arthur Tugade, the person assigned to untangle this nightmare promised to make miracles in 100 days.

UNENDING NIGHTMARE

Unfortunately the promised miracle turned to be an unending…
