Charter change headed for deadlock

A deadlock or a stalemate is the likely status of Charter change (Cha-cha) in Congress as both the Senate and the House of Representatives have taken a strong stance on the manner of voting on the proposed amendments and mode of amending the 1987 Constitution.

CHED charter upgrading pushed

Rep. Salvador Belaro Jr., 1Ang Edukasyon partylist and assistant majority leader, pushed for the upgrading and updating of the charter of the Commission on Higher Education, Republic Act 7722, following the forced resignation of its chairman Dr. Patricia Licuanan.
