Duterte asked to certify the urgency of anti hazing bills

Two pending bills, one each in the Senate and House of Representatives, are in need of a presidential certification as to their urgency so that they will move faster into the legal machinery.

 

Rep. Bernadette Herrera Dy, Bagong Henerasyon partylist and chairman of the committee on public information of the House of Representatives, is asking President Duterte to certify them as urgeny now that the House and the Senate have their respective consolidated bills on new anti-hazing legislation.

Under a federal set-up, there will be no need for a Metro Manila Development Authority, that prevails now. Instead, Metro Manila will be one of five proposed states in a federal form of government that would have its own chief executive or Premier, a unicameral legislature and a state judiciary. NEDA sees agriculture growing in Q1 2018

Given a positive outlook for rice and corn production in the first quarter of 2018, the National Economic and Development Authority said it sees the sector growing in that period, after a long hibernation and stagnant state. Following the release of Administrative Order No. 25 series of 2018 by the Department of Labor and Employment suspending the processing of employment certificates for deployment in Kuwait, Kabayan partylist Rep.
