DO WE realize that many are confused with the ‘No OR/CR, No Travel’ policy of the Land Transportation Office (LTO)? 

But many motorists ask that if it’s taking the government so long in issuing plates, why don’t we just use the Conduction Sticker numbers permanently?

In answer, Conduction Stickers serve a very specific purpose. For a fact, they are issued to accredited assemblers and importers of whole motor vehicles (MV) for road testing and delivery only.

SC orders refund on collected RFID fees

FOLLOWING the Supreme Court’s cancellation of the Radio Frequency Identification Project memorandum of agreement (RFID MOA) entered into by the government with Stradcom Corporation (Stradcom) in 2009, the High Court ordered a refund of the RFID fees collected by the Land Transportation Office (LTO) from motorists while implementing the RFID project prior to the Court’s issuance of its Jan. 12, 2010 Status Quo Ante Order. 

The High Court noted that the LTO collected nearly P30 million in RFID fees during its implementation of the RFID project.
