LTO requires uniform temporary plates (Part one)

By Tracy Cabrera

The Land Transportation Office will now require new vehicles, including motorcycles to use a standardized temporary plate. The cost should be shouldered by the automotive dealers.

This is contained in a memorandum issued by Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante last January 11 which is now in effect. All motor vehicles sold on or after February 15 should sport the same vehicle template.

Publisher’s note:

Climate change is upon us. We cannot reverse the trend, but could only slow it down. Adaptation and mitigation efforts should be intensified by government, with the support of the private sector, including local and national government officials.

For our part, OpinYon will regularly share a space for advocacies and initiatives on climate change for our readers’ appreciation and eventual engagement in simple adaptation measures and projects.

Below is the recent privilege speech of Senator Loren Legarda on El Niño.
