Mark Lapid, ER Ejercito stand as wedding sponsors

By Boy Villasanta

What could be more colorful, enriching and fulfilling for parents than seeing their children marry in the most wonderful way.

This is how former ‘Dolphy’s Angel’ Liz Alindogan feels when her son Paulo marries longtime fiancée Melissa Gomez on December 7 at The Lake Hotel in Tagaytay City.

Liz’s estranged beau Jess Lapid, Jr. feels the same way. “Panganay namin ni Papa Jess si Paulo na ikakasal. Si Paulo na successful naming anak na napakabait. (Paulo is our eldest who’s going to marry. He’s our very successful son who’s also very kind),” said Liz in a text message.

Director storms 2017 MMFF gate with prayers

By Ricky Calderon

Newbie director Julius Alfonso was, as expected, nervous when he attended the announcement presscon of the final four entries to the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival last Friday at Club Filipino.

The fate of his directorial debut “Deadma Walking” from T-Rex Entertainment Productions was hanging in a balance.

“Deadma Walking” was…

Jake Zyrus: No sign of truce yet

Because of publicity, Jake Zyrus’ (formerly Charice) mom Raquel Pempengco fears for her life.

This stems from a series of write-ups on her family where their whereabouts are mentioned. “’Yan na nga ba ang sinasabi ko. Mahirap na (That’s what I mean. It’s dangerous),” warns Raquel.

Pempengco apparently refers to her location in a remote village in Lopez town in Quezon Province where neighbors are far and between. “Baka akala nila, mayaman kami (They might think we’re rich),” she quips.

Jake’s mom and younger brother Coy have been living in relative peace in a…
