After being feted at the 22nd Buncheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BiFan) last July, matinee idol and awarded actor Piolo Pascual was once more an attraction in South Korea.

This time, it’s at the 23rd Busan International Film Festival, one of the biggest film events not only in Asia but in the world as well.

Piolo, represented in the festival his film “Kita Kita” which he produced with box-office director Bb. Joyce Bernal and Erickson Raymundo.

After decades of not acting on stage, award-winning actors Ricky Davao and Rina Reyes are back to theater in the most unconventional way.

Barbie Forteza is one of the best actresses at the Kapuso network and if we were GMA, we’d give her more projects that would make her shine as an actress.

It’s a good thing Barbie’s acting mettle was noticed by BG Films International of Ms. Baby F. Go which gave her Louie Ignacio’s “Laut” for which she won the Best Actress award at the 36th Fantasporto International Film Festival two years ago.

Starless summer in Boracay

EVER wonder why there wasn’t much of a star power in Boracay Island frolicking during the Holy Week contrary to the past holidays when celebrities would be arriving at the Caticlan airport in droves?

Contrary to last year’s conspicuous presence of famous stars in the beaches, their scarcity was felt this year. Karla Estrada was spotted but not many other stars descended from heaven to plunge in the deep, sunbath in the sand or party at night in bacchanalia.
