NEDA Deputy Director General Rosemarie G. Edillon

TO BOOST the growth of industry and services sectors, the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) has called on Congress to pass several measures which it described as important in attaining their targets.

NEDA Deputy Director General Rosemarie G. Edillon said they also aim to promote the agriculture and fisheries sectors, environment and natural resources, social protection, shelter security, health and nutrition, and education and skills enhancement.

Car sales up 16% in September

BAD NEWS for the already-suffering commuters and motorists of Metro Manila: expect those heavy traffic jams along EDSA and other thoroughfares to turn from bad to worse.

It’s because automobile sales in the country have jumped up by 16 percent last September alone, according to the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI).

Cusi, Tugade, others face rough sailing before CA

IN PORTENT of things to come for the appointees of President Rodrigo Duterte, the Commission on Appointments (CA) has refused to give the green light on the appointment of Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi during his recent appearance before the powerful body.

Cusi’s appointment was derailed after he failed to provide adequate answers on several questions…
