Pure Foods tallies 30% earnings

EARNINGS of San Miguel Pure Foods Company, Inc. (SMPFC) rose nearly 30% in the first nine months of 2016. In a statement, SMPFC said its net income hit P3.8 billion during the January to September period, 29% higher than the same period in 2015. This was attributed to the strong performance of its branded value-added businesses, which includes processed meats, dairy, coffee, spreads and biscuits.

ICTSI  has 53% surge in profits last September

INTERNATIONAL Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) saw profits surge by 53 percent to $54.6 million to $54.6 million as of end-September, from $35.8 million during the same period last year. For the first nine months, ICTSI’s net income attributable to equity holders rose 4% to $141.9 million from $136.2 million a year ago. ICTSI attributed this double-digit increase in revenues to volume growth at its terminals; tariff rate adjustments and new contracts with shipping lines and services at certain terminals; and the continuing ramp-up at the company’s Iraqi terminals.
