Analysis of his Road Map for Philippine Agriculture shows that it will be government led and using government funds.

The private sector especially the NGO’s that would like to participate will have to wait for Sec. Pinol to roll out his policy support for the farming sector and those that would like to help in the development of Philippine agriculture.

Sta. Rosa named Earth Hour Capital

SANTA Rosa City, Laguna has been proclaimed as the Philippine Earth Hour capital due to its initiatives ranging from installing solar street lights to the construction of a composting facility designed to minimize landfill waste.

The Earth Hour City Challenge (EHCC) is a year-long initiative which aims to mobilize action and support cities in the global transition towards a climate friendly and one-planet future.

The Challenge’s main goal is to highlight, recognize and reward city governments that are making substantial long-term efforts to combat climate change.

Duterte rejects ‘absurd’ climate accord

IN KEEPING up with his stance as a pro-people leader, President Rodrigo Duterte has maintained that he will reject Paris Agreement – the historic international climate change pact that seeks to keep global warming below 2°C – calling the deal ‘stupid’ and ‘absurd’.

In an interview, Duterte shared an anecdote of an unnamed ambassador questioning whether the Philippines will be able to keep its carbon emissions low as part of the climate change pact signed in December.

This question, according to Duterte, made him want to ‘kick him’.

Digong Duterte’s EO No. 1, is a declaration of his WAR ON POVERTY (WOP) by clustering all government agencies promoting livelihood, poverty alleviation programs, food sufficiency and skills under the Cabinet Secretary of the Office of the President.
