Nora Aunor goes to Iriga for her 65th birthday

By Boy Villasanta

Bicol is where stars flock to these days.

For one, Imelda Papin, whom this writer tried to set a meeting with for a possible tie-up of members and officers of the Katipunan ng mga Artista Pelikulang Pilipino at Telebisyon or KAPTT, aka the Actors Guild, with the newly-installed Filcaspro, an online directory of start, she said she would be available for such a meeting only after May 27 as she is in Bicol.

Fil-Briton filmmaker Jowee Morel (Papin, Asia’s Sentimental songstress,  ((“Moma,” “EC2Luv,” “Mga Paru-Parong Rosas,” “Mona Singapore Escort,” “When a Gay Man Loves,” “HiStory,” “Latak,” “Strictly Confidential” and “Leona Calderon”) wanted to meet with Papin’s group.

“There are things in the family to be settled in Bicol,” according to Imelda’s camp.

Also, last May 21, fans and followers of superstar Nora Aunor wanted to greet her personally on her birthday but she was nowhere to be found as she was to be discovered later by entertainment columnist Erlinda Rapadas T. that she was in Bicol as well.

Many Noranians celebrated their idol’s birthday without her.

“Because whether she is around or not, we celebrate her birthday in so many ways,” said avid Noranian Anna Marie Abu, a respected employee of the Human Resources Department of the Government Service Insurance System or GSIS.

Nora was in Iriga City when she turned one year older of her age.

Iriga in Camarines Sur was where she was born and she has many things to look after in her roots.

But the Noranians just kept praying for her safe travel.

Happy Birthday, Nora!
