Now it can be told.

Actress Angel Locsin and film producer Neil Arce are officially, not only as sweethearts but “together.” This was confirmed by Angel even before their celebration of Valentine’s Day. According to the actress, “we are now together.”

“Together” might mean many things to the public, though. Angel didn’t specify their “togetherness” but it might mean they’re “living-in” or just simply lovers who are “together forever,” “together as one through thick and thin,” “together against all odds” etc.

Regardless of the context of their togetherness, Angel appears to be head over heels in love with Neil. Recently, they were always out of town or out of the country. And they seem to be painting the town red each moment they hide away from the prying eyes of the public.

Arce, who was young actress Bela Padilla’s ex-boyfriend has been very vocal about his love for Angel. He would always send love notes to her even in his Instagram.

Arce is a film capitalist of such hits as “1000 Hours” (2013) which was headlined by Robin Padilla; “Camp Sawi” (2016) which starred Solenn Heussaff; “Luck at First Sight” (2017) which teamed up Jericho Rosales and Bela Padilla; “Fangirl Fanboy” (2017) which  featured Ella Cruz and Julian Trono and “Last Night” (2017) which reunited Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga.

One of the things that galvanized Angel and Neil’s relationship is their being both film artists. Aside from producing movie, Arce is also a storyteller. Thus, their love story is woven with so much cinematic colors that they are now inseparable.

Lovi, Bea and Carla: Adoring dogs as best “lovers”

Bea Alonzo, Carla Abellana at Lovi Poe have one thing in common: They are pet lovers, particularly of dogs. And dogs are men’s best friends and they could also be men’s best “lovers.” This isn’t to be mistaken as bestiality.  That’s gross. It is simply being “in love” with pets.

During her recent birthday last week, Lovi got a very wonderful doggie from a loved one. She says her dog is her best birthday gift. She described her recent toy has wet nose and sloppy kisses.

Meanwhile, Carla has been an advocate of proper pet treatment. She has just joined a wonderful Valentine event which promoted the welfare of animals like campaigning for a V-Day date of one’s choice pet.

“It doesn't matter if you are single, in love, or maybe just full of love in your heart, everyone is welcome to our very special week-long event this month where you can get the chance to spend some quality time with a shelter animal of your choice and give him/her a love-filled Valentine's meal as well,” she posted.

But of course, it’s Tom Rodriguez whom she dated last Valentine’s Day. It’s still human love on top of her line but love of animals is on the second fiddle. No discrimination of any animal, though, in her kingdom.

Abellana is an active member of the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).

Bea, meanwhile, calls her doggie Walter White because of his pure white fur. Oh, she gets around with him wherever she is. According to Alonzo, the pooch was given to her by “a very nice guy.”

Could it be Gerald Anderson as a gift of love?

Sharon runs down ex-bf in her life

After appearing with estranged husband Gabby Concepcion in a TV ad for a chicken house, Sharon Cuneta has been recalling her past loves and sweet moments in her romance.

That is why some people couldn’t help but accuse her of bringing back and opening up the closed chapters of her love life in bad taste.

Critics would say it’s inappropriate because she’s already past her teenage and saccharine days. What would her hubby Kiko Pangilinan react on her spilling the beans not yet known by the public in her past affairs of the heart?

Well, you can’t blame Sharon for reminiscing the good ol’ days just to feel happy and young anew and relish the wonderful memories of her youth.

Who were name dropped by the Megastar as her erstwhile “loves”? Aside from Gabby, there were Albert Martinez, Rowell Santiago, Richard Gomez and Robin Padilla notwithstanding Charlie Cojuangco whom she didn’t directly name in her confession but the latter was the billionaire whom she would have married years back.

Sen. Pangilinan feels secure about his wife’s revelation, though.

It’s time for bringing back memories for Shawie. Reminiscing her experiences with aunt-actress Helen Gamboa who’s also fond of her makes her day.

She would recall the time when Helen would pamper her with just practically anything a baby girl could ask for. And she misses them.

Filipino film wins in France

“Bagahe,” one of the full-length film entries in Cinemalaya 2017, brought home the top award in the 2018 Festival des Cinémas d'Asie de Vesoul (also known as the Vesoul International Film Festival of Asian Cinema) held from January 30 to February 6 in Vesoul, France.

Screened and judged by the four-member international jury, the film received the Gold Cyclo Award for its realistic narration on the plight of the Filipino migrant workers. It’s directed by Zig Dulay.

Born in Isabela, “Bagahe” explores the life of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), named Mercy, who is suspected of abandoning a newborn child in a trash bin of an airplane toilet. The film shows what happens to the Filipino migrant worker while being investigated.

“The film not only examines Mercy's situation, but it also makes the inventory of the Philippines' social institutions.

While they investigate Mercy's situation, we also investigate these entities—how they ‘re-victimize' a victim. We try to understand both why mothers abandon their children and how a country can be so least sensitive to the fate of its workers abroad,” said Dulay in the film brief.

Filipino director Dulay obtained his communication arts degree, major in Journalism and minor in broadcasting, at the University of the Philippines-Baguio.

He is currently completing his master’s degree in Araling Pilipino (Creative Writing and Film) in UP Diliman. His first full-length “Huling Halik (The Last Kiss)” was a NETPAC entry in the 2011 Cinemalaya.

He wrote screenplays for various films including “Posas” (Best Film, 2012 Cinemalaya), “Qwerty,” “Ad Ignorantiam,” “Ekstra” (Special Jury Prize, 2013 Cinemalaya), and “Kasal” (Best Film, 2014 Cinemalaya).

His short film, “Missing,” was an entry in the 2013 Cinemalaya, and won the Best Short Film award in the 2013 Gawad Urian.

His film, “M. (Mother’s Maiden Name)” won the Jury Prize in the 2014 MMFF, while his film “Bambanti (Scarecrow)” bagged Best Film awards at the Brussels International Film Festival and Ajyal Youth Festival 2015. His film “Paglipay (Crossing)” won Best Picture in the 2016 ToFarm Film Festival.

The 95-minute long film starred award-winning actress Angeli Bayani who won the Best Actress award in the recent Cinemalaya for her powerful portrayal as an OFW suspected of dumping a newborn child in the trash bin of an airplane toilet. It also featured actors Shamaine Buencamino, Boots Anson-Roa, Racquel Villavicencio, Bing Pimentel, Menggie Cobarrubias, Arnold Reyes, Madlen Nicolas, Yayo Aguila, among others.

Blind Item

Matangkad at matipuno. Pero ang masaklap ngayon ay bumigay na siya. Nagbebestida na umano ang mamang ito. At nakikipagrelasyon na sa kapwa lalaki.
