GOOD news para sa mga kawani ng pamahalaan!

Isang resolusyon ang inaprubahan kamakailan sa Kongreso na naglalayong taasan ang daily allowance ng mga state employee.

Inilabas ng House Committee on Appropriations na pinamumunuan ni Rep. Karlo Alexei Nograles ang Resolution No. 243 na humihiling kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na magpalabas na ng executive order upang taasan ang daily travel allowance ng mga government employees mula sa kasalukuyang P800 hanggang P2,000.

Noong 2004 pa huling nagpatupad ng adjustment sa daily allowance ng mga kawani ng pamahalaan, ayon kay partylist representative Eugene Michael de Vera.

Hindi na umano ito sapat lalo na sa mga nadedestino sa mga malalayong lugar dahil sa epekto ng pagtaas ng presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin, ayon pa sa kongresista.

“Wala silang pera para dun, ang mahal na ng lodging, pagkain P240 ang allowance, bale P80 per meal. And then P400 for accommodation, wala na pong ganun. I think P2,000 is fair enough although maliit pa rin, tapos pag nadagdagan yan mas maganda,” ani De Vera. 

Mas madali umanong magagampanan ng mga  karaniwang empleyado ng pamahalaan ang kani-kanilang mga mandato kung mabibigyan sila ng sapat na pondo para sa kanilang mga daily expenses, ayon pa sa kongresista.
